A popular culinary herb enjoyed for its lemon scented foliage. The oval to lance-shaped leaves are green with gold margins. They are used fresh or dried as a seasoning in soups, stews, sauces and meat or fish dishes. The plant grows more upright than other varieties and produces small, tubular, lavender-pink flowers in early summer that attract bees and butterflies.
